Time to ask for help
It is time to get back to searching the post to the group for those
gems that send me searching for more information.
I have been no mail since July. The first month and a half I was
traveling to Denver, Branson MO, Marion Kentucky, and Pelham Alabama,
with many stops along the way where I talked with a lot of diabetics.
Since then I have been busy building a new web site and now it is time
to ask for help.
The help I am seeking takes a few different forms. I am building a new
site for type 2 diabetics helping other type 2 diabetics.
There is still a lot of work to be done on the site and I will be
continuing that.
I am at a point where I am looking for well controlled type 2
diabetics willing to assist others trying to learn how to control
their blood glucose. The site will have peer role models identified in
the forums and on their profiles so others looking for help will be
able to identify who the best ones are. My criteria for roll models is
Type 2 diabetics who had high BG readings and learned how to obtain
A1C of under 6. (Mine is 5.3) with diet and no meds. I realize this is
not the case for all diabetics but this is the goal I have the site
and it is obtainable for many type 2 diabetics. (I was close to death
when I was diagnosed and learned how to do it so I know there have to
be others who have learned the secrets also) I call the strategies
diabetic secrets because they go far beyond what is presented by main
stream medicine and are generally hard to find.
I can also use help in testing everything on the site. If you are
willing to help in this part please register on the site and start
looking for anything that does not work and report back to me with the
page URL and what is not working so I can trouble shoot it.
I am also wanting to do a 3 month study in which I am looking for 100
people wanting better dietary control of blood glucose. The people who
are willing to participate will be given a free diet tracking software
to be able to enter everything they eat and have it analyzed. I will
provide the software to be able to do this and the results are to be
emailed to me weekly so I can work with adjustments with the goal of
reaching very good BG control. For these 100 people I will offer
suggestions on how to change their diet. I will be tracking
compliance to see if they can stay on track, and the results. After
the study is complete the results will be released to all participants.
