New Here, Looking for breakfast ideas
Hello, my name is Sonya. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and high
cholesterol in Feb. ‘06. I’m on 500mg Metformin twice a day and 10 mg
of Crestor once a day.
I can’t eat much cereal & milk anymore because my Bg’s go through the
roof.
I love egg white omletts and yogurt.
Any other suggestions?

There are some cereals with very few carbs. Look at the labels and looks
for ones with less than 25 g for a serving. Some are even less than 20.
I like cheese and crackers for breakfat. Strawberries goes good with that.
Sometimes I like salmon patties. Very non-traditional.
There are lots of good breakfast suggestions in the files here.

Hi Sonya,
The South Beach diet has a smoked salmon frittata with sun dried tomatoes
that is wonderful.
