Seitan Satay-3g

Note Seitan is vegetarian substitute for white mean made from Protien
portion of wheat. It is sold

packaged like Tofu and can be found at Whole Foods and other
supermarkets.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1 tablespoon curry powder
2 tablespoons peanut butter (crunchy or smooth)
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup lime juice
2 cloves of garlic, minced or pressed, or to taste
Crushed red pepper flakes to taste

Three 8-ounce packages seitan

Directions

1. In a medium bowl, mix together all ingredients except the seitan.
2. Cut the seitan into 1- to 1 1/2 -inch chunks, and add to the
marinade.
3. Let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to one hour.
4. When done marinating, thread the seitan pieces onto bamboo skewers.
5. Place the skewers on a broiling rack, and broil on low for 5
minutes, or until the top of the seitan is brown but not burned.
6. Turn the skewers, baste with the marinade and broil for another 5
minutes, or until the seitan is brown.
